Personal Banker- Benton, KY

Summary: Bankers at First Kentucky, provide exceptional customer service, by handling all customer’s banking needs. This position participates in daily operations of the branch office, assists customers with teller transactions, new accounts, consumer lending, and other financial service needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest levels of quality service to customers in a friendly, positive, professional manner.
  • Establish rapport with customers, display a caring attitude, identify their needs, recommend, and explain solutions.
  • Understand, promote, and advise on the bank’s products, services, and electronic delivery channels.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to refer other lines of business
  • Perform the basic transactions of a paying and receiving teller such as accepting deposits and loan payments, verifying cash and endorsements, cashing checks within limits.
  • Balance drawer daily and ensure that cash is accounted for. When not in balance must try to identify errors.
  • Open new accounts, explaining various deposit accounts and ownership options
  • Prepare all documents and paperwork to assist with signing necessary new account documents and properly posting the initial deposit.

  • Perform consumer lending duties to include general lending conversations, taking consumer loan applications, completing loan application data entry, explaining loan decisions to customers, and having all necessary paperwork signed and processed.
  • Comply with BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and guidelines while identifying and reporting any type of suspicious activity.
  • Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all customer business confidential.
  • Handle and resolve both internal and external problems and complaints in a quick and efficient manner either on their own or with the assistance of management.
  • Assist in verifying weekly currency shipments, maintaining the appearance of the branch, assisting others with balancing their drawers and locating errors, and balancing the branch ATM and vault when appropriate.

  • Maintain a well-developed working knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered, taking responsibility to keep up to date and request assistance for further development needs.

  • Supervise, open, and close the office in the absence of the Branch Manager or when necessary.
  • Serve as Saturday manager or any other assigned position on a rotating basis or when necessary.
