Smith Promoted to Pennyrile Region Market Executive

December 20, 2023, Mayfield, Kentucky – First Kentucky Bank President Will Hayden announces the following promotion at First Kentucky.

Doug Smith has been promoted to Market Executive for the Pennyrile Region.

Hayden states, “Doug has been a welcome addition to the First Kentucky family and projects a level of professionalism and business acumen that is second to none.  We look forward to Doug being a key component in our executive management team.”

Smith has 27 years of combined banking experience with his most recent role as Vice President, Commercial Lending at First Kentucky. In Smith’s new role as Pennyrile Region Market Executive, he will primarily be responsible for business development and commercial lending in Muhlenberg, Ohio, and Daviess counties.

Smith shared, “I’m excited about the opportunity to continue helping individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals in the Pennyrile Region.”

He graduated from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He has volunteered with the Kiwanis Club of Owensboro as a Board Member and Volunteer for over 20 years and at Audubon Area Community Services as a Board Member for over 15 years.  He has also served on the Finance Committee for Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church for the past 17 years.

Smith resides in Owensboro with his wife, Suzanne. They have two children, Brandon Smith and Emma Smith. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, volunteering, and spending time with his family.
