FIRST KENTUCKY BANK PROVIDES FREE FINANCIAL LITERACY RESOURCES TO LOCAL SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY
August 08, 2024, Mayfield, Kentucky-
First Kentucky Bank is bringing financial literacy education to students and residents in six Kentucky counties. Through First Kentucky’s monetary investment, students and teachers at 12 schools have free access to Banzai, an award-winning online program and content library that allows any-aged users to practice real-world finance from the safety of their home or classroom using any internet-enabled device. At a time when a solid foundation of practical financial knowledge is critical, these resources will make a huge impact on users. These resources range from financial calculators to full-blown courses that teach skills through hands-on learning.
“Thanks to First Kentucky Bank, area students and the local community will now have access to a wide array of courses and resources designed to help prepare them for our increasingly complex world,” says Morgan Vandagriff, co-founder of Banzai. “We wouldn’t be able to provide these tools without their support.”
First Kentucky is working with Banzai to build financial literacy in the community by investing time, money, industry experience, and a variety of resources. They are continuing their commitment to education, not only by providing Banzai’s resources to many of their area schools, but by also making their Financial Wellness resources available to adult users in their communities at firstkentucky.banzai.org/wellness.
“At First Kentucky, we’re committed to offering the best online platform for financial literacy learning, which is why after a ten-year investment of $264,975 with a similar fin-ed program, we’ve chosen to switch our partnership to Banzai. With the Banzai program, we’re excited to continue investing in our youth and communities by offering gamified and interactive financial modules. At First Kentucky, we’ve always been dedicated to promoting and supporting financial wellness, and we will continue that tradition by creating a lasting impact on financial literacy in the areas we serve,” shared Amanda Rorer, First Kentucky Marketing Officer.
Banzai resources are used by over 120,000 teachers across the U.S. These educational tools align with Kentucky’s state curriculum requirements, making the program a fun way for students to gain vital skills and an ideal way for anyone in the community to increase their financial literacy. After finishing the Banzai courses, users will know how to track where their money is and what it’s for, recognize financial trade-offs, learn about recognizing and avoiding scams, and plan for a financially sound future.
